COMEDIAN and TV presenter Griff
Rhys-Jones visited Bures during June 2008, filming for his television
new series.
Accompanied by a BBC crew and his
labrador Cadbury, Griff recorded footage for the series "Rivers"
which was televised on Sunday August 23rd 2009
The film crew were located down
at Rushbanks Caravan site along the Nayland Road and the Scout
Camp at Bures.
During the programme, Griff visited
the Great Ouse on the Fens, the River Waveney on the Broads and
finally coming down to the Stour.
Consequently, the River Stour journey
only managed to get less than 15 minutes of air time. Griff launched

Footage was taken at the Millennium Bridge then further along
the river at the Mill Weir.
Griff then proceeded to Nayland,
