William Church the founder, purchased their first building in Bures (Tannery) in 1913.
Later in 1957 they moved further up the High St, it still thrives today as their main office and administration centre

Purchased in 1913 from Col Probert for the sum of £400.

Part of the building now used by a Surveying Company.

 

Bridge Street (Essex) adjacent to the river.
Purchased in 1956 from the Melford Malt Company for £1500. After renovation it was used for the processing of small seeds and peas.

Sold mid 1990`s and converted into Town Houses

Opposite The Manse in the High Street

Purchased redundant Maltings in 1949.
Used as a grass cleaning plant.

In 2005/6, sold and converted to Town Houses

This building once owned by the Garrad family and used as a Malting Warehouse, was purchased in 1947.
It was in a very poor state of repair.

After extensive restoration work it was opened in 1957 as their Head Office and seed testing laboratory

Undoubtedly one of Bures finest old buildings.
