Mary`s Church

Sunday 3rd June:
10.30am:- Service of Thanksgiving
in St Mary's Church with 21 shotgun salute
12.00 Noon:- Big Jubilee Picnic starts on the Recreation
Ground with stalls, bar, barbecue, music
2.00pm:- The Thames Pageant.
A screen will be erected in the main hall of the Community Centre
showing events in London, particularly the Thames Flotilla
5.15pm:- River Stour Flotilla, boats/craft to assemble at
the landing stage at the Scout Hut to begin the Bures Stour flotilla
which will sail to the Recreation Ground, aiming to reach there
at about 6pm

Monday 4rd June:
From 12.30pm;- Bar and Barbeque
on the Recreation Ground
There will be a bar, barbecue, stalls and music
1950s-style Sportsday on the
Recreation Ground.
2.00pm:- Registration will start from
2.30pm:- Start of Events
6pm:- Hog Roast
7.30pm:- The Party at Buckingham Palace will be screened
live on the big screen in the Main Community Centre Hall.
9.30pm:- Drawing of the Raffle to
decide who will light the Beacon
10.15pm:- Lighting of the Diamond Jubliee Beacon
10.30pm:- The Grand Finale to our celebrations, Firework Display

There will be an exhibition of 1950`s memorabilia
in the Football Pavillion throughout Sunday and Monday
Apart from the above events, there will be prizes for the best dressed
house, commercial premises, person, vehicle etc. Details to be confirmed.
