Bures Message Board

I was delighted to see a reference to my great, great grandfather Philip Baldwin on the Bures website. He was the superintendent of the tannery in the 1850s. If anyone has any more information about him (especially with regard to the tannery) or any other Baldwins, I should be very pleased to hear. Thank you!

Hi Georgie, I have Baldwin ancestors from Bures. My gt gt gt gt grandfather Samuel born about 1782 had at least 2 children, Thomas born about 1815 and Robert about 1817. Thomas had at least 4 children,Eliza 1840,Mary Ann 1844,George 1846 and John 1850. Do you think they are related to your family?
