The Marks Tey-Sudbury branch line train has a defect and needs to be replaced, as a consequence the 1017 Marks Tey-Sudbury and 1047 Sudbury-Marks Tey trains will be cancelled and replaced by a bus.

The buses will be supplied by Dons of Dunmow and John's Tours, a replacement train is being resourced from the depot

Why this is of interest, is the replacement bus service. This has always been carried out by Chambers of Bures. Unfortunately Chambers was sold to the Go -Ahead group on the 28th May.

Have Dons of Dunmow and Johns Tours of Stowmarket taken over the contract
.

Some wait if you have to rely on a bus coming from Dunmow or even worse Stowmarket !
