Babergh Planning Committee Members,
visits the site on 23rd May 2018
On their arrival Peter Beer, the Planning
Committee Chairman talked to the assembled parishioners and explained
they could not entertain any questions, but we would be kept informed
throughout what parts of the site they were to visit.
The committee members entered the site to see for themselves the objections
that had been raised over the height of the properties
They visited the close proximity of Byron House to Plots 1 & 2 of
the Development
They also visited the garden of the White House, to see how the new
property at its rear dominated the skyline.
At the end of their inspection, the Chairman spent considerable time
talking to the residents reassuring them that all their letters of objections
had been read and noted
Because of the discrepancy of the height of the properties by three
different Surveyors, the Chairman would arrange for Babergh to carry
out a height survey by there own nominated Surveyors. This would be
the height the Committee would be taken as fact
No date yet been fixed for the Planning Meeting at Babergh, but we would
be notified by the Clerk of the Parish Council when this was to take
place.
All residents were welcome to attend.
The meeting between the parishioners and the committee were very amicable
and they all parted
in the knowledge that our concerns had been thoroughly investigated.
In total the site meeting lasted one hour.
