The youngest child of Alfred (otherwise known as Jack for reasons
lost in the mists of time)
Older brothers Jim, my Father, and Les, older sisters Kath and Pat
Moved to Bures around 1945- 48
Went to school to the age of 15 in Bures - which he always referred
to as Bures College of Knowledge
Member of the local scout group
1955 Joined WA Church the agricultural seed merchant in Bures
Worked for them for 50 years and that achievement was acknowledged
by Suffolk Agricultural Society
Played football for Bures - goalkeeper
Played cricket for Bures - wicketkeeper
Also played golf at Newton
Other pastimes shooting, fishing, keeping ferrets
Frequented pubs in Bures - especially The Swan, with landlord Ray
Attwood
Entered sloe gin and other vegetables in the Bures show and won
on occasions
Rumoured to have won the Welly tossing competition
Active member of Bures Old Gits
